Meet Our Team

Tom O’Donnell – Our Managing Director Tom O’Donnell pioneers T&A’s standard of quality and safety for clients in both the private and public sector. He is responsible for the overall delivery of projects, including assisting clients from the beginning of projects through to completion of the final phase of the development. Tom oversees all projects, from small to large, giving them full attention, to ensure quality projects are completed on time, safely and within budget.

Tom has over 30 years of experience delivering quality projects to clients in both the private and public sector. As Contracts Director and PSCS where required, Tom liaisons directly with clients, engineers, architects, quantity surveyors and all other relevant personnel. Tom takes responsibility for the day-to-day contract management activities.

Darren O’Shea – Darren O’Shea operates as our Site Manager with over 20 years’ experience in the industry and 15 years in a managerial role. He has a long-standing relationship with the organisation spanning over a decade. Darren has a Batchelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from IT Tralee.

Darren primarily operates as the site manager for building projects. Darren’s other roles include examining and inspecting work progress, driving, and operating civil engineering plant, analysing, and planning installation and construction of equipment and structures, conferring with supervisory personnel and subcontractors concerning work procedures, complaints and construction problems, and contracting workers to perform construction work.

Antoinette O’Donnell – Antoinette O’Donnell is responsible for HR, Finance and Administration within the organisation, Antoinette has been part of T&A since its formation in 2002. Antoinette has over 30 years’ experience in an Administration and Finance background. Antoinette is a dependable, flexible and motivated. Antoinette has exceptional interpersonal, communication and Human Resource skills acquired through work experience and time spent as a Company Director. She has also recently completed a Diploma in Human Resources with Griffith College Cork. Antoinette works with all members of staff, building on communication and trust within the organisation. Antoinette is responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of administration processes and corporate governance are both promoted and maintained so T&A can operate efficiently and in accordance with all statutory and legal
provisions on every project.

Chris O’Donnell – Chris O’Donnell is our H&S Manager and Site Foreman. Chris has been an employee of T&A since 2016. Chris is a graduate of University College Cork with a Higher diploma in Occupational Health & Safety at Work and has completed a BSc in Construction Management in Waterford Institute of Technology. His role in the company is to ensure that practices and procedures within the workplace coincide with safety legislation and that standards are upheld and maintained and are in accordance with current health and safety legislation. His role consists of inspection of all proposals, drawings, and the Preliminary Health & Safety Plan prior to commencement of works. Chris has worked on a wide range of projects in both the public and private sector. Chris’s key skills include attention to detail; time-management, leadership, and organisational abilities; he is energetic and adaptable in order to perform in a fast-paced environment. Chris proved his leadership credentials in orchestrating T&A’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic, drafting return to work plans, and dedicated Covid-19 policy and response plans. He now leads the teams operations for civils projects.
